Construction and commissioning of a fully steel “turnkey” school building, an example of new construction that adheres to the latest seismic protocols. The high level of “prefabricability” of the steel installations allowed for the creation of the supporting structure at our transformation center in Polistena (RC), and the subsequent assembly of the school took place on-site, covering a total of 312.6 sqm, completed in a record time of 30 days.

This is a prefabricated structure featuring the most innovative plant technologies, without architectural constraints, and most importantly, an earthquake-resistant and thermally insulated building. Its perimeter walls were made with sandwich panels, known for their high fire resistance, good soundproofing, and adequate thermal insulation. The school is designed as a rectangular-shaped envelope with a supporting structure made of steel box profiles. The very simple aggregation system also allowed for the optimization of natural and artificial lighting, as well as the use of free winter solar energy.
